The crazy quilter

I used to be a huge magazine and newspaper fiend back in the day. I clearly remember high school when I would spend hours in the library everyday reading various stuff. This probably doesn't sound eccentric to many of you. But it was in high school. Most people back in that day were concerned with socializing. I was reading the Wall Street Journal.

But I've stopped. Why? I've moved to books. Magazines and newsps (as I called them) are great but they are often too sensationalistic. It was funny. In many ways I've come full-circle with them. Reading about how some mega-trend is going to change things. And see it blow up right before my eyes. To middle-brow for me. I'm kind of a snob as you can see. Might as focus on the etheral .

I just bought a book on quilts. Why buy a book when I can just read a blog or use the google? There's a huge assortment of information that goes into them. Think about it. The various quilting techniques. The various patterns. How to mix colors. How to buy a quilt rack. I wouldn't trust a blanket blog on that kind of stuff.
